Hi Erhan! I am finally back home and catching up with having been away for 3 ½ weeks. I wanted to thank you very much for an extraordinary sailing trip. We had such a great time and very well looked after by the Captain, Thomas and Mehmet. Despite the storm on our first night – Sept 20, our weather was good until the last day. The food was amazing and enjoyed very much by each and every one of us. The crew even caught dinner for us one day!

You should be very proud of your crew and we were so impressed that we all want to come back in 2 – 3 years to repeat it. Some things can’t be repeated, but we are willing to try. 07-13 Ağustos tarihinde yapmış olduğumuz mavi tur ile ilgili izlenimlerimi paylaşmak istedim. Turdan 1 gün önce ayrıldığımız için turla ilgili görüşlerimizi yazabildiğimiz formu doldurmadık çünkü.
Turun ilk gününden son dakikasına kadar çok keyifli vakit geçirdik. Tura katılan kişilerin hiçbiri birbirini tanımamasına rağmen 5 farklı milletten oluşan 12 kişi 7 gün boyunca harika vakit geçirdik. Bunun yanında her gün ayrı lezzetli yemekleri yapan 2. kaptanımız Asım Bey ve kaptanımız Mustafa bey ile yardımcıları Murat Bey’den de son derece konuksever bir hizmet gördük.
Kısaca en başda tereddütlü çıktığımız bu turda harika vakit geçirip bir çok ülkeden de yeni dostlar edindik.

Bu turun organizasyonunu yapan firma olarak da size ayrıca teşekkür etmek istedim.

I just wanted to say a huge big thank you to you and Barbaros Yachting for the fantastic service we receive from the first email to the time we disembarked from your boat.

Our trip on your gullet was an experience none of us will ever forget and the 'little extras' you provided so effortlessly are much appreciated. The staff on board the gullet the fantastic - attentive, caring and always just waiting to answer our every need.
A special thanks to Memet Snr who provided fantastic and healthy meals out of the tiny and very hot kitchen, Memet Jnr for the all the cleaning and endless round of drinks of and of course our very capable captain - JJ - who took us through some tricky situations to say the least. The crew were pleasant and caring and just knew how to be there but not be intrusive.

I would highly recommend you and your company to anyone who intends hiring a gullet for a holiday and would happily give a testimonial to anyone who asks.
Many thanks for making my sons' 21st birthday holiday so special - as you know we thoroughly enjoyed the belly dancer you arranged at such short notice.

Our experience:

We would like to emphasize that from arrival until departure the whole trip was extremely well organized and arranged; pick up at airport, reception at hotel with room available to freshen up during our waiting time before boarding, lunch, transport to boat, were very helpulf and considerate.
The reception on boat by crew was very warm, personal and helpful. The crew of Temelreis-3 explained choices for departure which were left up to us, no pressure not throughout the whole trip.
They accomodated us in any way and we can't emphasize enough how helpful and warm the crew was to us. The meals were every time a big suprise and delicious, to say nothing of the fantastic presentation!! The cleaning of the bathrooms was done at times so that it was no inconvenience to us, crew kept the boat tidy and clean. Trip was fantastic we got to see wonderful spots and we all felt sorry when we had to return. Sadly we said goodbye to the crew, but we were happy to have had such a wonderful experience for our first boat trip
We are so enthusiastic that we encouraged quite a number of friends to book this kind of trip. We are going Again in 2006 with friends from the U.S.A. who after having seen our pictures and heard the stories immediately were up for making a booking.
See you again in 2006 and thank you so much for a wonderful vacation.

It is a pleasure for me to compliment you for the personal service that you provided to my wife and I.

The cruise that we booked through you was a new experience for us, so we were unsure of what to expect. The time you spent with us made us comfortable with our choice, and the charter cruise you arranged on the Temel Reis III was an experience we will cherish for a lifetime.

The boat was basic but comfortable, and the route, which was unplanned, took us to a series of beautiful bays and islands in the Gulf of Gokova. We dined on exquisite traditional Turkish cuisine prepared with fresh ingredients. The crew went fishing daily and we dined on the catch of the day. Marvellous.

With out a doubt the highlight was our crew. Our captain Yavuz Kose, the chef Serkan, and young Erman, kept us laughing and stuffed with food and drink for every minute of our seven day cruise. If there was one factor that made our vacation special it was the care and attention of these wonderful people.

My wife and I would reccomend you, your company Barbaros Yachting, and the charter cruise holliday to anyone, as a wonderful experience and a very good value. We are already considering another trip next year.

Salute to Capitan Yavuz Kose and Cook Serkan Babayigit (nicknamed Captain Cook by our group).

Along with Barbaros Yachting they were responsible for one of the most enjoyable weeks we as a family with our in law children have had in our lives.

This was a dream come true to us as we have been dreaming about this cruise for 6 years as we did plan a similar trip 6 years ago, but had to abandon it as 2 of the couples pulled out. My first contact with Boating Turkey for this trip was already in May last year and I had a very responsive feedback from Necmi on every e-mail that I have sent to him. He was very helpful in assisting us in all the arrangements.

Due to a limited budget we chartered the smallest boat that we could get hold of, but we were pleasantly surprised with the spaciousness of the interior of the boat. The two smaller cabins were a bit uncomfortable but fine for the two younger couples in our group. We fortunately experienced excellent weather and could therefore spend all the time on the deck. Gathering as a family on the foredeck while cruising was a real family binding experience.

Our captain and chef were excellent hosts as they were always there but never intruding into our privacy despite the limited circulation space. Yavuz gave us a feeling of having everything under control at all times even during a very rough spot on the open sea when we were cruising against a very strong wind. Compliments to our wonderful chef Serkan who had the ability to prepare the most wonderful meals in his small kitchen. Lunch and dinner was always a pleasant surprise with the fresh fish speared by then at night something very special.

Even to us as South Africans with a very weak currency the trip was very affordable and goes highly recommended.

Perhaps to mention two minor items of critique.

The ladies in our group would have preferred mooring in the harbour of a small Turkish village say every second night as they found it to be very secluded on the boat at night. The men on the boat preferred the quietness of being all on our own at night and were actually very perturbed one evening when the stillness of the night was spoiled by a “party boat” next to us.
We were of the opinion that the drinks on board were very expensive. We trust that Yavuz and Serkan did also share in the mark up on the drinks as we believe it to have been as much as 500% plus on for example the wines. If not we will definitely negotiate with you on the principle of not being allowed to bring our own drinks on board the next time around.

But for this it was an unforgettable week on the Turkish coast.

In mei 2005 hebben wij een Bleu Cruise geboekt via Sun Travel en kwamen terecht op La Mer. We hebben een geweldige vakantie gehad! Net wat we op dat moment nodig hadden. Lekker dobberen op zee, mooie plaatsjes bezoeken, een heel geweldige groep medepassagiers waarmee we uren gekletst hebben en een prachtige tocht naar het schildpaddenstrand in Dalyan. Maar de meeste indruk hebben op ons wel gemaakt de avond swingen in een disco in een van de haventjes (super gezellig en prachtige Turkse dansen) en een dag op ruwe zee waarbij we eindelijk echt konden zeilen. Heel indrukwekkend! Het inrichting van de boot is niet super de luxe, hou rekening met een kleine hut en een kleine badruimte maar de sfeer aan boord en de service maken dat zeker goed. Veel dank dus aan kapitein Ceyhun voor zijn vakkundige leiding en zijn prachtige verhalen over de geschiedenis van Bodrum, de sterren en zijn ervaringen op zee en natuurlijk voor de uitbundige viering van mijn verjaardag. Veel dank aan kok Mehmet voor zijn overheerlijke maaltijden en maatje Mehmet voor zijn geduld, zijn gastvrijheid en zijn eeuwige smile. We hebben zo van deze trip genoten dat we in september 2005 de hele tocht nog eens hebben overgedaan. Wederom zijn we als herboren teruggekomen. Een aanrader dus en dit jaar gaan we zeker terug naar Bodrum om de tocht nogmaals te maken!

In juni 2005 hebben wij een Blue Cruise geboekt bij D-reizen, de gület was de Cey van Barbaros Yachting. Ik kan geen minpuntje bedenken, alles was geweldig, de hutten zijn klein, maar je hoeft bijna niets mee te nemen, badkamer/toilet is ook klein, als je doucht is alles in het toilet nat, maar wie maakt zich daar nu druk om. Ben je aan een rustvakantie toe dan is dit de remedie, vanaf dag 1 denk je nergens meer aan en via D-reizen was het niet eens duur. Wij hebben geen full-board genomen = drankjes inclusief, kostte € 150,-- p.p. voor een week, is veel te veel, wij hebben samen € 120,-- betaald aan de kapitein voor alle drankjes in die week en dat waren er niet weinig, water kostte 50 Eurocent. Met je reisgenoten moet je het treffen, wij hebben het supergezellig gehad, o.a. Amerikanen en Italianen.

net 1 week terug van een geweldige vakantie op de SCORPIO, samen met Ria en Jos koster. Zoals iedereen die hier een woordje geschreven heeft, in een woord fantastisch. Geweldige boot, goede bemanning en een hele fijne groep mensen.Hebben veel plezier gehad en lekker veel geluierd en gegeten. Compliment voor kok memmet, die ons vanuit zijn kleine keuken 3 x daags een geweldige maaltijd toverde. Hij heeft ons zelfs de inktvis die we gevangen hadden in een salade bereidt. geweldig. zeer zeker voor een herhaling vatbaar. Deze reis zullen we nooit meer vergeten. Kaptain Memmet, kok memmet en scheepsjongen Yavus mijn komplimenten.

Vandaag net 1 week terug van een Blue Cruise op de MS Scorpio vauit Bodrum. het is niet uit te leggen hoe mooi deze reis was, dit moet je zelf ervaren wij komen er niet over uit gepraat.Alles wat je nodig hebt voor een goede uitrus vakantie, Prima crew die er alles aan deed om het ons naar de zin te maken, prima eten,prachtige natuur, mooie baaien en veel zon, lekker zwemmen en luieren. Eigen hut met toilet en douche wat wil men nog meer. We hadden het gelukt dat we ( we waren zelf met z'n vieren ) een ontzettende leuke groep aan boort hadden. Deze vakantie zal ons nog lang bij blijven en is zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!!!Kapitein Mehmet, kok Mehmet en matroos Yavuz bedankt voor deze mooie vakantie.

Konforu,servisi ve kaliteyi cogu insan 5 yildizli otellerde ariyor, fakat bunlarin hepsini teknede fazlasiyla bulup ayrica otellerde bulunmasi imkansiz olan huzur,dinlenme imkanina sahip olduk. Bu kadar guzel doga ve deniz sehirde yasayanlar icin bulunmaz luks, verilen servis kaliteli ve butun gun ve hatta 7 gun sadece mayo ile dolasabilmekte rahatligin en guzeli. Hayatim degisti, cunku bundan sonra yillik iznimin mutlaka bir haftasini bu turda harcamaya ayiracagim. Buyuk sehirlerin karmasasinda yasayanlar icin birebir. We kunnen het maar moeilijk onder woorden brengen hoe we deze cruise hebben ervaren. Ik probeer het toch maar. Het was in één woord fantastisch. De zee, zon, de mooie baaien, snorkelen, slapen op het dek, wakker worden met de zon in je gezicht. 's nacht kijken naar de prachtige sterrenhemels, heerlijk eten en dat alles met geweldig leuke medepassagiers en vriendelijke bemanning. Inderdaad een unieke ervaring zoals het in de Oadbeschrijving wordt weergegeven.

Daily Trip

Me and my family were going to take a Windstar cruise in early July this year. One of the ports of call was Bodrum. Reading about the place and its tourist attractions, we decided to rent a gullet for the day. I am sure now that our decision could not be better. It was a most relaxing trip, in a typical boat, huge and comfortable, swimming in clear waters with no hurry at all. The crew members were very kind and helpful, and they cook wonderful meals. Everything was really well organized. Since I had arranged the gullet rental through an Internet site, having paid for their services in advance, I knew I was taking my chances. Specially because we would just have some hours in Bodrum, and it would be hard to rearrange the rental on the spot. I had no need to worry, the boat was waiting for us, corresponding in every detail to what they proposed us in their e-mail. We will certainly use Barbaros Yachting services again if we are fortunate enough to visit this wonderful Turkish beach once more in the future.
